Preview from Day 2 of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival.
These pipes supplied steam and water to turbines in a building that’s become Detroit’s finest graffiti gallery. Cheers to Bonefish for getting me in!
Meet Backyard Betty pilsner, my buddy Nano’s microbrew. We started talking about ideas for a label, and things snowballed pretty quickly. Next thing I knew his girlfriend was talking to a co-worker in the Detroit Fire Guild about modeling, and I was lined up as the photographer. I made 21 prototype labels, and a grueling selection process, countless tweaks, two archival-quality inkjet tanks, and nearly 500 scissor cuts later, I had a set of waterproof photo-quality labels for every bottle.
Roller Derby needs no introduction. Eight-wheeled, inked, and armored Amazons wrapped in jerseys and fishnets, racing about on ballroom floors. Subject: Tara ToPieces of the Detroit Pistolwhippers.
From a shoot with Kenzie this weekend. Light was dodgy, but it held long enough for some great results.
Excellent stencil from the side of the Metropolitan Building. I love the blazing colors and the imagery mishmash.
